The First Step of Obedience

Should I Be Baptized?

Baptism is not required for salvation, but it is the first step of faith for believers.

The baptismal waters do not save anyone — it is Jesus who does that. Baptism serves as a visual representation of what Jesus has done in a believer's heart.

What Does Baptism Illustrate?

Baptism illustrates Christ's death, burial, and resurrection.

1 Corinthians 15:3–4

It demonstrates your new life as a follower of Christ.

2 Corinthians 5:17

Baptism does not make you a believer — it shows that you already believe. It is like a wedding ring: the ring does not create the relationship, it signifies one that already exists.

Why Baptism by Immersion?

Jesus was baptized and instructed His followers to do the same. The word "baptize" in the original language of Scripture means to immerse or dip under water. We follow this pattern because we follow Jesus.

Mark 1:9 · Matthew 28:19–20

Ready to Be Baptized?

If you are a believer, you should be baptized — regardless of when you came to faith. We ask that you attend a baptism class first, and then we will schedule your baptism.

Email us with the subject line "I am ready to be baptized!" and we will get you started.
